To enjoy our facilities, you must first make a reservation for a session online or by calling our booking center. During the session, you will have access to our signature Ancient Thermal Bath experience that allows you to experience our 6 thermal baths (hot bath, ice bath and cold plunges, warm bath, salt bath, and jet bath) as well as our steam rooms at different steam intensity with aromatherapy. You can also enjoy our salt exfoliation area. We also have a relaxation area where you can rest on heated marble and enjoy tea and water. Upon entering the bath area someone will provide you with a brief tour and afterwards you may roam freely. If your reservation is The Ancient Thermal Baths you may circulate throughout the baths, steam room and seating area at your leisure for the 90minutes of the duration of the session. If you are scheduled for any other experience that combines the Ancient Thermal Baths with a Massage or a Body Ritual your time of Thermal Bath Tour will be included whithin the total of duration of the experience you have choosen.

The AIRE Experience is designed as a relaxing space in which cellphones and cameras are not allowed and we also ask you to keep your voices low for the proper enjoyment of all guests during the experience.

If you are delayed in arriving, you will be able to access the bath area, however your total experience may be shortened. If you have a massage or ritual included, it can be shortened depending on availability. Once you arrive everything will be more clear and our staff will inform and guide you.

If you would prefer to have a female or male massage therapist or someone in specific, please let us know in advance so we can also make a note on your booking. Please note that we are unable to guarantee any request on that matter however, we will always endeavour to fulfil requests where possible.

Let our therapist know if you would like more or less pressure during your massage but please note that the pressure ranges will be determined by your chosen experience.

Although all our Experiences can be booked for two, we can only guarantee that the massage will be performed in the same room when you choose a Couples designed Experience. Likewise let us know your requirement in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.

We offer a wide selection of experiences for two, perfect for sharing a unique moment. In addition, all our services can be booked as a couple experience, but we can only guarantee that the massage will be performed in the same room in the case of experiences created specifically for two. You can find all the information about AIRE Experiences on our website or by contacting our reservations department by email [email protected].

If you have booked a massage it will most likely happen during the second hour of your session. Usually we have guests first enjoy the bath experience and then have their massages, but the staff who checks you in upon arrival to the bath area will be able to specify better depending on your massage length and the session schedule.

What to expect at Aire Ancient Baths?

Weird or Wellness is an OprahMag.com series where staffers answer the question: Do we really need the "woo-woo" fads we keep seeing on social media in our self-care routines? We put buzzy treatments from halotherapy to chakra healing to the test so you don't have to—all in the name of living your best life.

For bath and spa lovers like myself, the Aire Ancient Baths are the stuff of lore. Its locations in New York, Chicago, and Spain are decked out with stunning indoor pools of various sizes, temperatures, and minerals, all designed with one goal: to "transport you to the ancient times of the Roman, Green, and Ottoman traditions," a nod to the cultures that perfected the art of self-care long before millennials.

    Pros

    Schedule flexibility Pay per hour

    Cons

The worst thing they take 25% of your tip! And even if is cash so you have no real idea how much tip your client gave you and all the tip goes to your check and is taxed obviously. Overworked Massages literally back to back Barely time to wash hands Very disorganized They do not appreciates their employes NO benefits They say the pay for downtime, but if there are no massages they send you home, or don't schedule you at all. When your are scheduled you have no downtime unless some client cancels, but even if reception will try to book as many massages. They try to fit 2hrs of massage in 2hrs literally which we all know is impossible example: 1 60min, 1 30min, 1 30min from 1-3pm. They hire people with no former training in massage

Are kids allowed in thermal baths?

The short answer is no. The long answer is, it depends. And that begs the question, so what did we do with our under thirteen year olds who weren’t allowed in? This is the story of how our family dealt with the rule that non-toilet trained children are not allowed in most of the bath houses in Budapest.

Two things Budapest is famous for in Europe, one is it’s beautiful buildings and two is the many thermal baths to choose from and relax in. Most Europeans visit for the thermal baths, and there are about twenty to choose from. We decided we wanted to explore at least two of the baths, and given that we had to go separately, we picked one each.

Can children go to bath spa?

One of the most frequently asked questions about Szechenyi Spa Baths is whether children (teens, kids, toddlers, babies) can go to Szechenyi Baths, and if they are entitled to a child discount.

The short answer is that children over 14 years old can go to the baths, under 14, however, the pools in Szechenyi Bath are not recommended for kids, but if the parents decide to bring their children anyway at their own responsibility, they can. Under 14 children are only allowed to use the 3 outdoor pools (under parental control).

Can you swim in the Bath Roman Baths?

The water is sourced from rainfall on the nearby Mendip Hills, which then percolates down through limestone aquifers to a depth of between 2,700 and 4,300 metres (8,900 and 14,100 ft). Geothermal energy raises the water temperature here to between 69 and 96 °C (156.2 and 204.8 °F). Under pressure, the heated water rises along fissures and faults in the limestone, until it bubbles up from the ground into the baths. This process is similar to an enhanced geothermal system, which also makes use of the high pressures and temperatures below the earth's crust. Hot water at a temperature of 46 °C (114.8 °F) rises here at the rate of 1,170,000 litres (257,364 imp gal) every day,[3] from a geological fault (the Pennyquick fault). In 1982 a new spa water bore-hole was sunk, providing a clean and safe supply of spa water for drinking in the Pump Room.[4]

Archaeological evidence indicates that the site of the baths may have been a centre of worship used by Celts;[10] the springs were dedicated to the goddess Sulis, who was locally identified with Minerva. Geoffrey of Monmouth in his largely fictional Historia Regum Britanniae describes how the spring was discovered by the pre-Roman British king Bladud, who built the baths there.[11] Early in the 18th century Geoffrey's obscure legend was given great prominence as a royal endorsement of the waters' qualities, with the embellishment that the spring had cured Bladud and his herd of pigs of leprosy through wallowing in the warm mud.[12]

Is it worth spending a night in Bath?

There are many things to do in Bath UK. You don’t absolutely need an itinerary to fill your time there, but it’s a good way to ensure that you’ll see everything in a short amount of time.

We like to visit in the spring or fall to avoid the masses of tourists. During these times you don’t have to worry about booking activities and restaurants in advance.

If your trip is planned for summer, don’t worry. You will still have a great time in Bath and there will likely be better weather than any other time of year.
